focus-gambia is the first photo-workshop to offer photographers the opportunity to capture the raw beauty of The Gambia - whether you are a beginner, intermediate or an advanced photographer this is truly a holiday with a difference!

We have joined forces with The Gambia Experience, a fully bonded UK tour operator and The Ngala Lodge Hotel to offer you a special workshop, incorporating three set days of photographic tuition from a professional photographer interspersed with three days of competition based on Betina Skovbro's Photo marathons.

Thoroughly researched itineraries provide an ideal introduction to Africa and will enable you to maximise the photographic potential and immerse yourself in this extraordinary country.

Our professional photographers are experienced tutors who run their own workshops in UK & Europe. Each has his or her own photographic style that will compliment the individually themed workshop to ensure your passion for photography can be explored to the full. Freedom is the key word as you are allowed to roam at carefully researched locations where potential photographs surround you.

These workshops will challenge you, as well as create the environment you need to test your skills and learn new techniques.

Photographic Holidays with a Difference!

The temperature in the Gambia is around 30 degrees, so we offer alternate photographic days to enable you to enjoy facilities at the Ngala, the private tropical gardens, to relax by the pool, or stroll along the secluded beach.

The Gambia is an ideal location for photographers and travellers alike.

Our team of photographers is growing all the time (if you are an exceptional photographer with teaching experience, who would be interested in running one of our workshops, we would love to hear from you);

If you are a camera club, art institute, school, or a group of enthusiasts considering organising your own event; please contact us as extra dates can usually be arranged. We can also offer a land package with just the guide and transport with the price adjusted accordingly.
